After this surgery, Jofra also went on the tour of West Indies with the England team and was recovering from injury. In a conversation about his injury, he had said that when you are forced to undergo surgery, then you think whether you will be able to play cricket for the second time, will you be able to play all formats.

Along with this, he thanked England Cricket. According to Archer, the England Cricket Board had assured him for a long time and helped him come back from injury.

Archer felt that ECB’s contract would end
Jofra Archer wrote “It took me a while that my contract with the ECB would expire. Things were not going well at the time, but now I have faith in what is going to happen in the future.”

In a short span of time

Jofra Archer has played less than 50 matches for England, but in his short career, he has impressed a lot. He took 20 wickets in the 2019 World Cup and was the leading wicket-taker for England.

At the same time, he was at the third place in terms of taking the most wickets in the tournament. In the final of this World Cup, he did a historic Super Over for England, winning which England became the world champion for the first time.

Amazing in 2019 Ashes too

Archer did wonders in the 2019 Ashes as well, taking 22 wickets in four Test matches. Only Pat Cummins 29 wickets and Stuart Broad 23 wickets ahead of him in this series. Both these bowlers played five Tests.

Currently, England cricket is going through a lot of changes. Ben Stoxon has been appointed as the new Test captain of England and Brendon McCullum as the new Test coach. At the same time, Matthew Mott has been made the coach of the ODI and T20 teams.
