A little about Kevin De Bruyne

Back in January 2014, the classy playmaker left West London in a £ 18m deal with Wolfsburg, having previously caught the eye in Germany during a loan period in Werder. After about 18 months, Kevin De Bruyne returned to England in Man City and became the Premier League Champion, two-time PFA Player of the Year and one of the best talent in world football during his time in a different shade of blue.

What did Jose Mourinho say about Kevin De Bruyne?

Referring to how Kevin De Bruyne was allowed to slip through the Chelsea net, Jose Mourinho, faced with allegations of little faith in promising players, said he was so impressed that Jose made the decision he didn’t want this kid on loan, Jose Mourinho wants him to stay, and in their first match of the Premier League season, he started against Hull City.

In the second match we got to Old Trafford and after that he came to Jose and said that he wants to play every match and wants to play every minute. He put a lot of pressure on it. According to Mourinho, Kevin De Bruyne wanted to leave, he wanted to go to Germany, where he was previously rented and so happy, and his decision was to go. Kevin put a lot of pressure on it and it worked really well for him. The story is there and the quality of the player is absolute, he is the top five in the world.

Mourinho added, with Kevin De Bruyne taking just nine appearances for Chelsea, that when Kevin De Bruyne had to go on loan and Jose decided to stay, Jose saw these qualities. Kevin didn’t have the experience and maturity, but his legs and vision were already there.
