Nobody plans to leave the club

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has repeated that nobody in his administration plans to resign, let alone himself, after being under significant pressure to pass a vote of no confidence. Bartomeu has no ideas to relinquish his position before being legally obligated in 2021. “At the moment, no one is planning to retire,” admitted Bartomeu. “The board will continue to work to make the team as competitive as possible. The club does not stop; we continue working, and we have many pending things in motion. It is not a typical market because it ends on October 5th”. Fans and club members received the required number of signatures for a vote of no confidence in Bartomeu and his board, which surprised the malicious president.

“The figure surprised even those who started the motion,” he added. “We are in a normal review process; the club will continue with the utmost transparency and care. Again, no one wants to retire, and we are all focused on the club’s day-to-day running”. Lionel Messi accused Bartomeu of lying to him and breaking the word about the exit clause in his contract, but the president declined to comment. “I will not enter into any argument with the captain,” he said. “These are things that people are discussing at home. We must congratulate ourselves that Messi is still with us; the world’s best player should be at home.”
