In the 19th over of New Zealand’s innings on Friday in Adelaide, Irish fast bowler Joshua Little claimed his second hat-trick of the T20 World Cup 2022 by dismissing Kane Williamson, James Neesham, and Mitchell Santner.

As he said after the first innings, he was getting some tail end movement which made it difficult for the batsmen to hit. First he removed on song Kane Williamson which gave Ireland the chance to pull something back have a sigh of relief.

On the next ball, Jimmy Neesham tried to hit one over the cow corner but couldn’t find the match between bat and ball. He was given lbw.

Mitchell Santner on the very next ball missed to read the length and as the ball was tailing in, he was absolute plumb in front of the wicket.

It was magnificent over with a impresive figure of 3 for 3 in the 19th over. Joshua Little has been the pick of the bowlers for Ireland. Also, he now holds the record for most wickets taken in the year 2022.

Little becomes the sixth bowler in the history of the men’s T20 World Cup to get a hat-trick. Little had a final result of 3 for 22.

After Curtis Campher, Little is the second Irishman to bag a hat-trick in a T20 World Cup match.
