Argentine rated Julian Alvarez wants to make an immediate impression at the Citizens on the flip side of his £14m transfer from River Plate, with the young forward revealing why he is affectionately known as ‘Little Spider’.
What did Julian Alvarez say?
This nickname has stuck with Julian Alvarez ever since the player was a star-eyed youth in Argentina and was gifted by family members. The plan now is to spin up a lot of websites in the PL that trap opposition defenders and allow more Silver VP to be collected by the defending champions.
Julian Alvarez grew up playing football on the streets of Kalchin and spoke about the early years he studied with his older brothers: “It was a very small village and we always played together since I was very young.
“We shared the same group of friends. We would all meet at the little playground we had in the village and spend many, many hours just playing football together.” Explaining how he got his nickname El Aranita, the highly ranked South American added: “It was just something that came to me when I was a little kid, no older than four, playing football with my brothers. “One day my brother said, ‘Look at him like a spider. “He’s just stuck and when you get older you don’t give up on him. I love it, it’s a great name.”
Julian Alvarez talks about his ambitions
The highly ranked Argentine striker opened up Chelsea’s pre-season goal tally before moving on to their repechage effort in a Community Shield loss to the Reds. Julian Alvarez is waiting for PL’s first strike but has full faith in his abilities and will set high individual and collective goals at the Etihad Stadium in 2022-23. “Winning the PL is a huge goal and we’re determined to win every trophy we can,” Julian said of his ambition.
