Jurgen Klopp saw his side warmly welcomed their arrival in Asia for a summer clash with old foes.

A little about the topic

The German manager couldn’t resist making a playful swipe at Man Utd after the Reds arrived in Bangkok for their pre-season clash with Manchester United, with the coach wondering if their underdeveloped rivals weren’t given such a warm welcome. Liverpool, fresh from last season’s FA Cup and Carabao Cup glory in a historic quad bid, are in Asia to begin preparations for the 2022-23 campaign.

With an ever growing fan base in this part of the world, with players from Merseyside reclaiming their reputation as one of the best sides on the planet, there were many excited followers in attendance when heavyweights PL set off in Thailand.

After arriving in Bangkok, the German manager was invited to a press conference, but quailed before any reporters could ask him a question: “The first question I have… did he look like this yesterday when Manchester was here too?” Some of those longing to capture the sonic bite from Jurgen Klopp answered “no no” but Man Utd was given their own welcome at Don Muang Airport at the conclusion of the long haul trip on Saturday.

What did Jurgen Klopp say?

Two old adversaries from behind the castle horns in a supposedly friendly competition on Tuesday at the Rajamangala National Stadium. There’s nothing riding on the game as fitness levels are built before returning to competitive action in August, but Jurgen admits there’s usually fireworks when a pair of arched enemies occupy the same playing surface. Jurgen Klopp said about Man Utd that football matches are usually the most important thing for them. But in this particular case, it’s really more for people.

According to klopp, they have 37 players – all generations are here – and they should use all of them. The boys, who were on international duty in the summer, just arrived fairly today. They can’t play too long, but they will try to give them a few minutes too.

Man Utd. New manager. Trained a little longer than them. Klopp is not sure but may be in a better position at the moment. Jurgen Klopp says they see it as a big test because it’s against Man Utd – and they don’t play friendly matches!
