Recently, Mohamed Salah told a Spanish newspaper that he was disappointed not to be selected as captain at FC Midtjylland when Trent-Alexander Arnold was made skipper. Additionally, the forward mentioned of his refusal to rule out a move to the Spanish giants, Barcelona, and Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, during Liverpool’s visit to Crystal Palace, Salah was benched although he came off and scored twice in a 7-0 league win. The two goals took his tally to 13 top-flight goals this season and helped ensure Liverpool, who host West Brom on Sunday were top at Christmas for the third season in a row.

However, as a result of publications made concerning the 28-year-old being unhappy at the club, Klopp has come forward to play down such concerns.

The coach said, “Mo is in a good mood, a good moment and really good shape. That’s the most important thing former. We did not have pictures from the training ground this morning but if we did, you would have seen him laughing a lot”.

“All the rest is nice for the media to write about. But internally, nothing really”.
