Jurgen Klopp praised Takumi Minamino for his FA Cup performance against Norwich City on Wednesday night.

Minamino scored a brace to help Liverpool win 2-1 at home and advance to the competition’s quarter-finals. Klopp believes Minamino’s performance against Norwich on Wednesday night was his ‘best game’ at the club, labelling him as a ‘continuous menace’ to the Canaries.

Minamino, who was an unused replacement at Wembley, scored the game’s first goal from close range in the first half. Just before the half-hour mark, the Japan international added to his tally, shooting the ball into the roof of the net after being left unattended during a Liverpool corner.

Klopp stated after the game about the goal scorer’s performance: ‘His impression was apparent with two goals and not only that – he had a lot more top, top football moments.’

‘He was a constant menace tonight. He was mobile and swift,’ says the narrator.

‘He was technically at an extraordinarily high level; it was extremely windy tonight, and you could see how he controlled the balls when he had to bring down the high balls. It was all extremely impressive.’

‘I’m not surprised; I know how excellent he is, and tonight he demonstrated it to the general public, which is fantastic.’

The Liverpool boss went on to state that Minamino’s desire is “top-class,” and that his character is “top-notch.”

‘Absolutely,’ Klopp responded when asked if the fans were seeing more of the 27-year-ambition. old’s He has everything and he displays it. That is how it is, and that is why he is a member of our team.’

‘Taki came in during a terrible period, when the coronavirus was rampant. There were no fans in the stadium, and he was playing for a good football squad that had seen a lot of things.’

‘He had good moments, played really good football. But now he needed time, and he appears to be at the pinnacle of what he can do right now.’

‘I’m delighted for him that he can demonstrate it.’

‘Obviously, there are more severe situations in the world than Taki’s. But it’s not easy to get in and out and occasionally these kinds of things.’

‘But his character is clearly first-rate, which implies that when he is needed or given the opportunity, he delivers on a first-rate level. I’m pretty pleased with myself.’
