Juventus has offered Paul Pogba a three-year contract earning roughly £135,000 per week in basic net income plus incentives.

Before the 29-year-old makes his choice, more conversations between the player and the club are planned next week.

After his contract with United expired this summer, the World Cup-winning midfielder became a free agent, allowing Juve to sign him for nothing.

When Pogba failed to reach terms at Old Trafford in 2012, the Italian giants signed him on a free transfer, only for the Premier League club to buy him back for £89 million, only for him to walk away without earning a fee once more.

That wage would rank him among Juventus’ highest-paid employees, but considering that they are not paying a transfer fee, they are likely to see it as good value. Pogba is also said to want to reconcile with Massimiliano Allegri, his former manager.

Rafaela Pimenta, who took over as Pogba’s agent when Mino Raiola died, is expected to be in Turin in the coming weeks to finalize the transaction.

Juventus are thought to be confident in their ability to complete the deal, but if it falls through, Paris Saint-Germain will be waiting in the wings, with Real Madrid and Manchester City also rumored to be keen.

Wojciech Szczesny, Juventus’ first-choice goalkeeper, is looking forward to Pogba’s comeback.

According to reports,  Szczesny said: ‘I’d be pleased to see it happen.’ He performed admirably at Juventus previously, and he would be an excellent addition to the group.

‘He is a good player with a lot of experience and fond memories of Turin.’

There’s also a chance that an announcement may coincide with the debut of ‘The Pogumentary,’ an Amazon Prime film about Pogba, on June 17.

Juan Mata, who was also released by United on Thursday, will consider all of his options, including staying in the Premier League, since the Spaniard prefers to play rather than teach.
