Last year, during South Africa’s final match of the tournament, against England, Rabada became the first bowler from South Africa to bag a hat-trick in T20I cricket. During South Africas tour to England in 2017, Rabada took four wickets in the third ODI match, ans with that at the age of 22, he became the highest-ranked bowler in the ODIs worldwide. In the same series, playing the fourth Test against England, Rabada took 13 wickets and became the youngest South African bowler to score a ten-wicket haul in a Test match.

Rabada catapulted himself to international limelight in the 2014 Under-19 World Cup, where he took 6 for 25 against Australia in the semi-final. A strapping claimed South Africa’s record for best first-class bowling score, 14 for 105, topping a haul taken by Dale Steyn seven seasons earlier. For the South African under-19 team, he was their best bowler, taking the second-most wickets (14) at 3.10 economy.

Seven months later, Kagiso Rabada became only the second player in One Day International history to bag a hat-trick in his debut, finishing with the best figures by a debutant (6-16) against Bangladesh. In early 2016, playing only the sixth Test match for South Africa, Kagiso Rabada took his maiden 10 wicket haul, recording figures of 13-144 against England at Centurion.
In a match against the Australia, Rabada scored outstanding figures of 6/25, which was the best bowling performance in the tournament. Rabada became just the eighth South African bowler to take 200 Test wickets. In July 2018, in the 1st Test against Sri Lanka, Rabada surpassed the record set by Harbhajan Singh as the youngest ever bowler to pick 150 Test wickets, while he was also the 3rd fastest South African to bag 150 Test wickets.
