Karim Benzema Delivers New Transfer Appeal to Kylian Mbappe
With Real Madrid claiming Kylian Mbappe’s hotly contested future remains unresolved, Karim Benzema has sought to woo the PSG star into signing a contract with Real Madrid in the summer transfer window once again.
Karim Benzema has made a new transfer request for Kylian Mbappe, alleging that if Real Madrid acquired the Paris Saint-Germain star, they would “score twice as many goals.”
Mbappe is yet to make up his mind about his future, with his contract in Paris expiring in June and Los Blancos tipped to sign him during the summer transfer window. While the executives at the Santiago Bernabeu work out the financial details of a prospective mega-deal, Benzema and his teammates have been courting the 22-year-old in the hopes of persuading him to transfer to Madrid.
“With Mbappe, we get along well because we know what the other is going to do,” the striker, who plays alongside Mbappe for France, said attempting to ruffle PSG’s feathers once more.
“For example, we both like to go left. But we’ll never be there at the same time: one will go inside, while the other will go deeper. I enjoy playing with him in the national team and would like to do so in club as well. I believe we would score twice as many goals. Perhaps even triple!”
However, the man in question has been tight-lipped about his plans beyond the end of the season. Mbappe starred for PSG in their 5-1 thrashing of Lorient on Sunday, scoring two goals and assisting on three others for teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar.
After the game, the explosive forward stated that he could continue in Paris for another season, saying: “I haven’t made a decision, but there are fresh components.” What exactly are they? [laughs] New aspects. I’m calm, and I’m trying to make the right option for my family.”
One thing is certain, many at the Bernabeu are anxious to sign him this summer, despite the daily chatter in France and Spain.
