Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals came head to head in the 47th match of the IPL 2022. This match was played at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
Kolkata Knight Riders led by Shreyas Iyer chased down Rajasthan’s target of 153 runs for the loss of three wickets and with five balls to spare. Kolkata got this victory in the last over. With the win, KKR’s hopes of survival in the tournament also came alive. Adter five consecutive defeats, KKR felt relieved after having this match in their favor, that they can reach the playoffs.
Kolkata registered this victory in spectacular way against Rajasthan by seven wickets. This is also the fourth win for KKR this season and they have now moved up to the seventh position in the points table. For Kolkata, Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh played match-winning innings and shared an unbroken 66 runs in 38 balls for the fourth wicket. Nitish remained unbeaten on 48 off 37 balls and Rinku Singh scored 42 runs in 23 balls.
