KL Rahul, Mohsin Khan shine as LSG beat DC by 6 runs, win 7th match of TATA IPL 2022

DC vs LSG: Lucknow Super Giants defeated Delhi Capitals by 6 runs in the IPL match played on Sunday on the basis of the innings of captain Lokesh Rahul (77) and Mohsin Khan’s tremendous bowling. Chasing the target, Delhi Capitals could only score 189 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Mohsin Khan took four wickets for just 16 runs in four overs. Captain Rishabh Pant scored 44 runs for Delhi. But Mohsin Khan made him bold.

Deepak Hooda also scored a half-century
Earlier, Lucknow scored 195 for three against Delhi Capitals on the basis of a 95-run partnership for the second wicket between KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda (52 runs). Rahul hit four fours and five sixes in his 51-ball innings. This is his second half-century of the season.

He shared a 42-run partnership with Quinton de Kock (23 runs in 13 balls) for the first wicket. Hooda hit six fours and a six in his 34-ball innings. Shardul Thakur took all three wickets for Lucknow. He conceded 40 runs in four overs.

KL Rahul got a chance

Dekock, who came out to bat after winning the toss, hit a six and a four in the second over against Chetan Sakariya, while in the fourth over, Rahul did this against spinner Lalit Yadav. However, in the same over, Rahul also got a lifeline when his fast-paced shot went out of the hands of the bowler.

Rahul was on 14 at that time. Shardul Thakur, who came to bowl in the fifth over, got the first success for Delhi by getting the decock out.

De Kock hit three fours and a six in his 13-ball innings. After this, Deepak Hooda, who came to the crease, hit fours against Shardul and then Mustafizur, due to which the team’s score was 57 for one after the power play.

Rahul-Hooda targeted Kuldeep Yadav

Rahul and Hooda took an aggressive approach in the middle overs against Delhi spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who was running in excellent rhythm.

In the first two overs of Kuldeep, both of them hit three fours and a six. Hooda completed the team’s century by hitting a six against Axar Patel in the 11th over.

Deepak Hooda scored his third half-century
Rahul scored a four against Shardul in the 13th over and then took a run to complete his half-century in 35 balls.

In the next over, Hooda also completed his third fifty of the season in 32 balls, but in the 15th over, Shardul was caught by him and returned to the pavilion. After this, Marcus Stoinis, who came to the crease (17 not out off 16 balls), was struggling to score runs, while Rahul hit sixes on Sakariya in the 17th over and Shardul in the 19th over.

In the same over, Lalit Yadav ended his innings by catching a brilliant catch near the boundary line. Meanwhile, in the 18th over, Lalit dropped Stoinis’s easy catch off Mustafizur’s ball. He took the team’s score beyond 190 by hitting a six in the last over against this bowler.
