Kylian Mbappe “From the Heart” Speech at PSG Farewell Party

Kylian Mbappe held a farewell party with around 250 guests at a luxury Italian restaurant after announcing his departure from PSG.

Mbappe is widely expected to join Real Madrid this summer. The 25-year-old gave a speech at the farewell party with 250 guests. He said: “Here, we’re family. All the people here, I consider you as loved ones so it’ll be easy to talk and open my heart”.

“There is no message to convey, no ambiguity to give. You are the people that I want to thank from the bottom of my heart. If you are here, it is that you have at one point, influenced my life.”

However, it was notable that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was not in attendance following claims he and Mbappe had a furious bust-up ahead of the final home game of the season against Toulouse.

Al-Khelaifi wanted to know why he had not been thanked when Mbappe confirmed he would be leaving PSG in a video posted on social media. It is claimed that their meeting quickly became heated, with both parties heard ‘screaming at each other’ and that the ‘walls shook’.

However, PSG have refuted the claims, insisting: “It is disappointing to see more fake news circulating this evening. There has been no dispute whatsoever.

“The President and Kylian have regularly met before matches to finalize the end of season departure arrangements. Every meeting has been constructive and respectful, including before the match last night.”

Al-Khelaifi was invited to the party, but did not attend. PSG manager Luis Enrique, who dropped Mbappe for the club’s final two league games, was another notable absentee.

And Mbappe’s mother Fayza Lamari, who also acts as his agent, hinted her son is on his way to Madrid after leaving the party. When asked where Mbappe would be playing next season, she responded: “You all know it already.”
