Dutch coach believes he will stay at the Camp Nou beyond his current contract, as Koeman mentions in his interview, his is ready and excited for the years that await him in coaching, but the most interesting detail of all of this is that he said he will going to coach Barcelona, at least he hopes he will.
Will Koeman get a contract extension?
Ronald Koeman is only contracted until the end of the 2021/22 season, yet he has confirmed he is very excited to continue as Barcelona’s coach for many years amidst speculation Joan Laporta is to hand him an extension. Koeman’s contract renewal may happen, considering how much of a great trainer he is for Barcelona, Life in the Blaugrana hot-seat has been far from comfortable for the Dutchman thus far, negotiating a difficult first season which saw a Presidential change, whilst his second summer in charge has been plagued by cost-cutting and the departure of Lionel Messi. Koeman thinks that it will be better for the team if he goes and trains the new younglings and new players, Many expected Laporta would quickly look to end Koeman’s contract with the club and bring in his own appointment, yet that hasn’t yet been the case and the former Everton coach believes his relationship with the president is positive, and considering all of this, it is quite good, if Koeman indeed stays in Barcelona, we have some kind of chance to see Barcelona get up from it’s knees, financially it has gigantic problems that need to be solved, and trainer will in some ways help this situation.
Koeman’s future
Koeman is a job worthy man, and if he is in good relationship with the President, he will probably stay in Barcelona for some time. The only thing we have to do at this point is to wait and see what is going to happen in the near future.
