Cricket is an interesting game. It often produces unexpected moments. We all see cricket records being created and broken. Some records stay for a prolonged period and that has what happened in a Nepali Pro Club Championship where 6 wickets fell in an over.

Hardly any Indian would have forgotten the day of September 19, 2007. On this day in the T20 World Cup, Yuvraj Singh hit 6 sixes in Stuart Broad’s over. Cricket fans never forget that moment. Similarly,  another astonishing record has been made that involves 6 deliveries but with the ball.

In a match of Nepal Pro Club Championship 2022, 6 wickets fell in 6 balls . It also included a hat-trick and a run out. Left-arm orthodox spinner Virandeep Singh made this uncanny record in the 20th over of the match.

The match was being played in the Nepal Pro-Club Championship. On Wednesday,  Malaysia Club XI were facing Push Sports Delhi. Push Sports Delhi batted first and towards the end, Virandeep Singh bowled the last over. The Left-armer spinner took 5 wickets in this over. It also includes a hat-trick. Delhi were at the 131 for 3 till the 19th over and in the 20th over, every delivery brought a wicket for Malaysia Club 11.

Such records are rarely occur in pro cricket league. Especially in bowling, hat-tricks are a difficult record but here the batting team stumbled and lost 6 wickets in 6 balls.  Veerandeep Singh of Malaysia has registered his name in history with this extraordinary achievement. He has also played in 29 T20 Internationals.

This over of Virandeep was recorded in the history of cricket. A number of people shared the video on social media and soon it became popular and everyone was impressed with the bowler. When this record was made, many people appreciated him on social media too. Records are made and broken in cricket, but such records are rarely broken. Virandeep Singh , who bowled just 2 overs in this match, gave only 9 runs and bagged a total of five wickets including a hat-trick.

Let us tell you that before this, the feat of falling 6 wickets in a single over was done in the year 1951. Recently, Harshit Seth bagged 6 wickets in an over while playing a club match in the Karwan Global Twenty20 League.
