Leicester continues to push for Champions League qualification after coming from behind to beat relegation-threatened Brighton.  Adam Lallana put the host ahead with a worth well-worked goal in the 10th minute, before Iheanacho equalizer in the second half.

Things got worse when Amartey pull a header in the 87th minute to completed the foxes’ comeback. Despite Leicester climbing second, 2 points above United, who are yet to play; Brendan Rodger insists the position is irrelevant.

Leicester moved above Manchester United but Leicester manager Rodgers is not counting the present standings.

“I will tell you at the end of the season if we’re in the top four or not,” Rodger said.

“It doesn’t really matter being in the top four with 10 games to go.

“It’s when the whistle blows against Tottenham (on the final day). That’s when we will be in the top four,” he stated.

“Other than that we just need to concentrate on our performance level and focus on energy to play like we did that second half,” he added.

Brendan headed to the south coast with a lengthening injury list, but they fought well to see off Brighton 2-1.

“The first half we were too passive and I think we had a little bit of tiredness from midweek. The timing was out in our pressing,” Rodgers said.

“We were deservedly behind,” he admitted.

“But we were able to adjust the mentality of the team and I thought second half we were outstanding, the speed of our game, the tempo, and by the end, we looked a very good side,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Manchester United will seek to unseat Leicester in second place when they visit Manchester City on Sunday. United will set out to Etihad Stadium, boasting an unbeaten away run in the Premier League.

Although United has a good away run, City not an easy outfit and also has gone 20 games unbeaten.
