Leonardo says Sergio Ramos’ struggle this season has been difficult for everyone.

What did Leonardo say about Ramos?

PSG’s sporting director acknowledged that the club may have made a mistake in signing the defender. A trophy-winning 16-year career at Real Madrid came to an end when his final contract expired in June 2021. Paris Saint-Germain subsequently gnawed at Sergio Ramos on a free transfer, but he struggled with injuries throughout his first season at the Parc des Princes.

Sergio only played four games for the Madrid half a year before his departure due to a number of different fitness issues, but Paris Saint-Germain decided to give him a two-year contract anyway. A serious calf problem has since limited the Spaniard’s contribution to Pochettino, leaving Leonardo and the rest of the board highly disappointed.

The head of Paris Saint-Germain hasn’t completely given up on Sergio but admits he made the mistake of initially targeting him as he said they signed him and he was physically fine. But as of today, Sergio Ramos has only played five games. Unfortunately, what they imagined about him in their club did not happen. It’s hard for him, everyone.

Without playing, it is difficult for him to be a leader. Will wait before drawing conclusions, the season is not over. But Leonardo isn’t afraid to take responsibility for mistakes when he makes them. According to Leonardo, Nasser gives him complete confidence. This gives him real autonomy and for that he thanks the club.

Sergio Ramos’ achievement at PSG

Sergio has been limited to just five appearances for Paris Saint-Germain in all competitions to date, including only four in Ligue 1. The World Cup winner scored his first goal for the club in a 4-0 victory over Reims on January 3, but has not played since he suffered a repeat of his calf problem. Sergio missed the last training session of Paris Saint-Germain ahead of the clash with Nice this weekend and is expected to be out of time for the second leg of their round of 16 Champions League tie against Real Madrid.
