Liverpool will visit Leicester City this Saturday in search of a win that will help them get their Premier League season back on track after recent dismal defeats. However, despite that defeat spirit appeared to be high at the club’s training center in Kirkby where Kabak and Davies addition has given Klopp the welcome sight of senior center-backs returning to his first-team squad.

Klopp seems set to pick one of Kabak or Davies to start at the King Power with his three senior center-backs all still out injured.

Jordan Henderson and Fabinho have operated in the position in recent matches, and the Reds skipper will no doubt be hoping for a return to midfield in the not-too-distant future.

Worryingly there was no sign of either Fabinho or Thiago Alcantara at Wednesday’s training session, although there are no suggestions that either player is suffering from an injury at present.

Kabak, the loan signing from Schalke, is considered the favorite one of the new boys to start at Leicester, although Klopp could also spring a surprise and give both new additions their debuts.

The Foxes had appeared to be heading for extra-time in their FA Cup fifth-round clash against Brighton on Wednesday night before Kelechi Iheanacho scored a stoppage-time winner.

Leicester full-back James Justin was forced off in the match with a knee injury, although boss Brendan Rodgers is hopeful the problem isn’t too serious.

“‘After five minutes it eased up. He just heard something in his knee when he landed,” said Rodgers after the game.

“It’s a bit early [to diagnose]. On inspection, the guys are confident there it’s nothing major.

“We will see how he is in the morning. Fingers crossed it’s not as bad as it looked.”
