Liverpool are in talks to extend their £10 million sponsorship arrangement with Expedia… after a cryptocurrency firm was identified as their shirt sponsor for this season.

Jurgen Klopp’s team has had the Expedia emblem on their shirts since 2020 and are thought to be in talks with the travel business about a new long-term arrangement.

Liverpool’s current contract with Expedia expires at the conclusion of the 2022-2023 season, but the Reds are eager to reach an extension agreement.

Expedia CEO Billy Hogan acknowledged that his company is in discussions with the Premier League giants. He stated that the collaboration is going nicely.

According to Hogan, who spoke to FC Business magazine, Liverpool issued the following statement: ‘Our cooperation with Expedia is going brilliantly.’

“The procedure will be comparable to that of the managing partner.” We are communicating with corporations, and the process is ongoing.’

Liverpool have also been linked with a cryptocurrency company, which may sponsor their shirts for the 2022-2023 season.

Kevin Campbell, a former Arsenal and Everton player, expressed his opinion on the potential combination.

‘Crypto is the way forward, and people need to get acclimated to it,’ he told Football Insider. They should get used to it.

‘Whether people like it or not, everything is going digital.’ Cryptocurrency is on its way. It’s all going to happen.

‘I’m confident that if Liverpool is the first to undertake something like this, they won’t be the last.’ Other clubs will undoubtedly follow. At the end of the day, money speaks.’
