Liverpool in the lead in the hunt to recruit Birmingham City kid Jobe Bellingham.

The 16-year-old has made three appearances for the Blues this season, and is the younger brother of Borussia Dortmund’s Jude. Bellingham has piqued the interest of a number of European teams, including Liverpool, who are keeping tabs on him.

The Reds have requested information regarding the youngster’s status at Birmingham in order to make a move. Bellingham was handed a scholarship by Lee Bowyer’s side. But when he reaches 17 in September, he will be free to sign a professional deal with any club.

Consequently, Birmingham is reported to be striving to maintain the midfielder by promising him a bright future.

Bellingham can play in a variety of midfield positions.  As a result, his versatility is one of the qualities that makes him appealing to clubs.
Despite his youth, he has already made three appearances this season.  He made his debut against Plymouth Argyle in January at the age of 16 years and 107 days.

Manchester City and Newcastle United are among the teams interested in signing him.

Liverpool’s future midfield appears to be set, with players like Harvey Elliott, Kaide Gordon, and the upcoming Fabio Carvalho, and the addition of Bellingham would be welcomed.

Jurgen Klopp’s team has had a lot of success this season, beating Chelsea in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup finals, respectively.

They have a slight chance of winning the Premier League and will play Real Madrid in the Champions League Final on May 28 in the hopes of capturing their seventh European trophy.
