The 30th match of the Tata IPL 2023 will be played between Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium Lucknow.

The defending champions are sitting at the fourth position in the points table while Lucknow Super Giants are sitting at the second position after defeating Rajasthan Royals in their previous match.

Lucknow Super Giants

Super giant have a superb batting line-up, they have batters who can play at a maximum  strike rate, also batters who can play long innings. So far, KL Rahul hasn’t looked at his best but it won’t take him much time to play his natural game.

The form of Deepak Hooda is a bit concern for LSG and also the batting order that sometimes Ayush Badoni is sent up over Nicholas Pooran and Marcus Stoinis, so LSG has to look over at their batting order and to fix it for once and all.

Three half centuries in Tata IPL 2023 so far for Kyle Mayers so he has his place fixed so it means that Quinton De Kock will have to wait more. Rahul has lot of bowling option in his team, in the previous over they used marks is twine so packed to wickets and went for less than 7 runs per over.

It’s a day game so spinners will play a big role here and LSG has Ravi Bishnoi, experienced Amit Mishra and the jet accurate Krunal Pandya in their bowling attack. And if Mark Wood makes a comeback in the team then this attack will become best for the day.

Gujarat Titans

Spite starting the tournament on a hide note Gujarat Titans have lost to crucial games which they shouldn’t have. Fast let’s go 29 runs in the last over against KKR and then they conceded 116 in the last 48 balls against RR in both game they were in within position but somehow they lost the game.

GT’s batting is full of experience and class with some inform batters playing for GT and also there is a hard hitter David Miller who can change the game on his own. Games are there will be lot of spin in such a case the role of Hardik Pandya, Sai Sudarshan and Shubman Gill becomes more and more important for the team.

Raat Titans take high pride in their bowling attack but it was ferociously taken down by RR batteries in their previous match where they are best bowlers including Rashid Khan and Mohammad Shami conceded a few more than was expected.

What Does Stats Say & Pitch Report?

Last year both sides met twice and Gujarat Titans dominated on both occasions. First they successfully defended 144 then chased down 160 challenged by LSG.

Deepak Hooda (83 runs) has scored most runs when these two sides come face to face, second is Shubman Gill. In the bowling department, Rashid Khan has clearly dominated the LSG with 5 wickets in two matches.

The pitch is expected to be on slower side but a cracking contest in expected. Both teams will like to chase first because it will get easier under lights to bat on when everything cools down.
