Luke Shaw has urged Man United to launch a £200million double swoop for England team-mates Harry Kane and Declan Rice.
Kane and Rice have been training at United’s Carrington base ahead of Monday night’s Euro 2024 qualifier against North Macedonia. And Shaw has revealed he’s been ‘tapping up’ his international team-mates — both of concrete interest to United this summer.
The left-back, who is set to start for England on Monday, shared pictures of himself with Kane and Rice at the United HQ with the caption ‘Carrington tour’ on social media. Both are valued at over £100m.
Shaw branded his post ‘banter’ on Sunday but admitted: ‘I would love a few of them to join United. I am speaking to them, telling them how good Manchester is because I know their qualities.
‘I know they are world-class and they would be a massive help to us but I can only say so much.
‘It is up to the club and whatever they decide so we have to go from there.
‘My post was half-joking. I don’t know what is going on at their clubs but if it was down to me, I would take them in a heartbeat.’
