Leicester 3-1 Liverpool
There is something wrong with Klopp’s team. New formation of Liverpool is not looking as the team is losing match after match. Liverpool played a really important game against Leicester.
Mane, Salah and Firmino trident are back in the attacking line. Liverpool has serious problems when it comes to starting line-up. Van Dijk, Matip, Keita and Jota are out for next few weeks. Klopp can’t play proper football without a main defender. He even criticized the management of Liverpool for not giving enough money to sign a new defender. Klopp started with Kabak and Henderson in the central defense. Unfortunately to Liverpool’s fans, none of those players are defenders. So, Liverpool conceded three goals from Leicester. At the start of the second half, Liverpool scored a goal. Salah took the ball from Roberto Firmino and scored a beautiful goal. After taking a lead, Liverpool could not keep up with Lieciester’s attacking line. The pressure was very high from Vardy and his teammates on Liverpool’s defense. In the 7 minutes period, Lieciester scored three goals. Maddison scored first one, then Vardy got the winner. In just three minutes Barnes gave two-goals lead to Lieciester and registered the final result.
Manchester City 3-0 Tottenham
Pep Guardiola started the match against Tottenham with unusual formation. Foden was playing as the right winger. He was attacking from the right wing and passing to Gabriel Jesus. Sterling was the left winger and helped the attacking line too. Bernardo Silva was helping Foden, while Gundogand and Rodri were controlling the midfield.
Jose Mourinho started the match with Harry Kane. He was injured and returned in last week. As it seems, Harry Kane was ready for a 90 minutes performance as he was not substituted. Son was playing from the right wing and Lucas was helping Lamela in the central midfield. Gareth Bale was on the bench as always. Jose Mourinho is not satisfied with Gareth Bale’s performance. It’s visible that Gareth may return to Madrid next season.
Manchester City dominated the pitch for a whole 90 minutes. Rodri opened the score-line in the first half. He scored a goal from a penalty spot. In the second half, Pep Guiardiola’s favorite midfielder scored two goals. Gundogan has shown that he is still very relevant to modern football. Gundogan scored his second (and City’s third) in the 66th minute and registered the final result.
