Manchester United are working on the transfer of Uruguayan Jose Jimenez. Diego Simeone does not want to fire the 25-year-old central defender.

Manchester City is preparing another super transfer. According to AS, the English Grand wants to transfer 25-year-old Uruguayan player Jose Jimenez from Atletico Madrid and has already made an official offer to the Spanish club.

As it turns out, City are offering Atletico 89 million euros and are ready to add 5 million at the top as a bonus. Madrid are in no hurry to respond as they want to get 120m in exchange for the central defender.

It is noteworthy that Atletico head coach Diego Simeone does not want to let go of the Uruguayan legionnaire and even met the player to make him reconsider going to City.

For reference, Jimenez has been defending the dignity of Madrid since 2013 and has already played 130 matches, and has scored eight goals in 58 matches for Uruguay.

Recall that last year the Manchester club transferred midfielder Rodri from Atletico Madrid and paid 70 million euros in exchange for him.
