Marcos Llorente said that Atletico is ready to win the La Liga title. This season is tough for every club including Atleti, Blancos and Barca but Marcos believes in his team.

Marcos Llorente believes that the LaLiga Santander title will not be decided when Atletico Madrid face Barcelona at the Camp Nou in Matchday 35 on May 8. The Atletico midfielder is aware that Los Rojiblancos are competing with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla for the title and prefers to stick to Diego Simeone’s match-by-match philosophy.
“All the teams are very short-handed at this point,” said Llorente. “It’s a difficult season for everyone, there are no excuses. We know that we have to go game by game and give our best. The match at the Camp Nou will be an important game, but not decisive. We are four teams with chances [to win LaLiga Santander] and there are many points at stake. We’re all on the same page and we believe in what we’re doing. Fighting for big goals is very nice and we are physically and mentally at our best.”
While Atletico is fit, Real Madrid has to rotate squad
Zinedine Zidane intimated after Real Madrid’s 1-1 draw against Chelsea on Tuesday night that he will mix things up when Los Blancos play Osasuna this weekend, as several of his players are struggling with fatigue. Real Madrid are still in with a chance of winning the LaLiga Santander title, even if it looks set to be in Barcelona’s hands if they beat Granada on Thursday evening, but it is becoming increasingly clear that Zidane will put more of a focus on the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Chelsea in London next Wednesday night. Atletico Madrid still has two more points than Real Madrid but they have to play against Barcelona at Nou Camp.
