AC Milan and Mario Mandzukic agreed. The 34-year-old forward will play in Serie A again.

Veteran Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic will return to Italy and continue his Milan career. According to Italian media, an agreement between the club and the player has already been reached, and the transfer will be confirmed soon.

Mario will be added as a free agent in Milan and will sign a 6-month contract. However, if the Milan Grand goes to the Champions League and the parties are willing to cooperate, the contract will be extended for 1 year. The details of the personal contract are unknown at this stage. The 34-year-old footballer is expected in Milan tomorrow, where he will undergo a medical examination and then sign a contract.

Mandzukic last defended the honor of Al-Duhail in Qatar and scored 2 goals in 10 matches, but left Asia soon and was without a team in recent months. It is noteworthy that since May 2019 he has played only 10 official games. The Croatian forward was one of the outstanding figures of Juventus in 2015-2019. He scored 44 goals in 162 games for the Turin team and was one of the fans’ favorite players.

However, the arrival of Maurizio Sarri in Juve ended his Turin career. The Italian coach left Mario out of the squad for the first time and only allowed him to train for 6 months, and exactly 1 year ago his contract with the club was terminated.

During his career, Mario Mandzukic played for Zagreb, Dinamo Zagreb, Wolfsburg, Bayern and Atletico Madrid. Also, with the Croatian national team jersey, he appeared 33 times in 89 matches in 2007-2018.
