Matt Turner will play Arsenal in the summer and has already set his sights on the starting position.

 

What did Matt Turner say?

The American football player warned Ramsdale that he was going to the No. 1 seat at Arsenal, and Turner indicated that he was not heading to north London to collect a check and drive off into the sunset. Arsenal have a £5m deal with MLS side New England Revolution which will see them acquire the proven 27-year-old in the summer. Matt has shown in the past with club and country that he is not alone to back down from a challenge, with his intention of becoming a regular between sticks for PL heavyweights.

Matt said about his ambition that when he got his first chance with the national team, it was only like No. 3. According to Matt Turner, no one ever took him seriously, so he wouldn’t go there to take a check and drive off into the sunset. Turner says he will push himself, he will push Aaron and continue to help him get better and help himself get better.

Matt now has 16 USMNT caps to his name and was named MLS All-Star Game MVP and MLS Goaltender of the Year in 2021. The US international has come a long way in a short amount of time, having only made his international debut just over 12 months ago, but he believes he is poised to make an impact on the prominent European scene.

Matt Turner added that they dream. they don’t really see a clear path for how it’s going to happen, but they just trust the work and trust their dream every day, and keep working hard, being self-aware, knowing what to work on, and listening to their coaches around them.

Turner understands that it’s very hard to kick in the door, so it’s very hard to say no to not only the chance to go out and fulfill a dream, but to go challenge yourself at the highest level and play for one of the biggest, most recognizable brands in the world at Arsenal.
