Matteo Guendouzi is set to end a permanent move to Marseille after his successful loan spell with Ligue 1 equipment.

A little about the topic

The French player’s move to Marseille will soon be over as the Gunners step up their attempts to move a host of unwanted team players this summer. Matteo spent the 2021-22 campaign on loan in the south of France and enjoyed a great season, helping Sampaoli’s side to a runner-up finish in Ligue 1 and making his way into Deschamps’ France squad. And his move is now set to become permanent with the linebacker one of several players the Gunners want to move on in the coming weeks.

How much will the Gunners get for Matteo Guendouzi?

The Gunners will receive approximately €10.5 million for Matteo Guendouzi. The transfer fee was agreed last summer as part of a loan that originally took Matteo to Marseille. Marseille initially paid around £850,000 to take the Frenchman on loan for the season and included an option in the deal to make the move permanent in the summer of 2022. That option is now set to be forced with an agreement to be wrapped up shortly after Matteo’s tie with the France national team in the UEFA Nations League is ended.

Which player will Arsenal sell?

The Gunners remain in talks with Fiorentina over the sale of Torreira. The Serie A side have expressed their willingness to sign the player on a permanent deal after his successful loan spell last season, but have yet to table a suitable offer for international Uruguay. Lucas Torreira wants to join Fiorentina and is still hopeful that an agreement can be agreed in the coming weeks. Bellerin’s future has yet to be decided with the defender looking to join Real Betis on a full-time basis after last season’s loan spell.

Real Betis would like to sign the right-back and the Gunners have made it clear they will sell, but Hector Bellerin’s wages are currently proving problematic. Hector agreed to drastically reduce his salary last season to push through his loan move and Real Betis have made it clear that the player will have to agree to another massive pay cut if they are to make his stay permanent. The Gunners are also looking at traffic on Maitland-Niles and Pablo Mari, while talks continue with Feyenoord over Reiss Nelson, who spent last season on loan with the Eredivisie side. Nicolas Pepe and Bernd Leno could also leave if suitable offers arrive.
