How was everything?
Matty Cash was part of Poland’s squad for the 2022 World Cup, helping them get to last-16 before coming unchecked against a stellar French side. Along the way, the right-back ran into a couple of iconic figures, with the jersey of Argentine player Lionel Messi secured in the group stage – with a little help from fellow club Amy Martinez – before landing the jersey of French striker Kylian Mbappe in the knockout rounds.
What did Matty Cash say?
Cash went to great lengths to ensure valuable possessions were not lost, with Matty Cash saying that from Qatar to Dubai he made sure those shirts were right with him. According to him, he also placed them in a safe in the hotel room. This will go in hand luggage with it!
The 25-year-old right-back added that it is really good to play against such players, and against such teams too. Played against Argentina, France and Mexico, they are fantastic sides. Matty Cash has built up so much experience and it’s been a different learning curve over the last couple of weeks. Cash is confident that when he returns to Aston Villa it will be of great benefit to him. Matty Cash says that now he’s played against those top players, he’s looking forward to playing against even more of the week’s top players in the PL.
