Kylian Mbappe hints at a possible contract extension as his Paris Saint Germain future continues to top the headlines.

Reports claimed that the former AS Monaco forward has been unsettled at the Parisian club and a move was on the card. However, Mbappe gave a positive view after the Coupe de France final.

“I hope that we can go as high as possible,” Mbappe said.

“I try not to give myself limits, help my team and win trophies,” he added.

The 22-year-old claims seeing his friends and the people around him happy makes him happy too.

“To see happy friends, the staff, the people who work hard happy. That is what counts for me. I am very happy,” Mbappe claimed.

On the Ligue 1 2020/21 final day, Mbappe says, “They are two completely competitions. We have done everything right in this competition.”

“The title does not depend on us. We are going to do our work. And then we will see what happens elsewhere,” he added.

Earlier on, Monaco boss Niko Kovac singles out Mbappe as the key to their 2-0 defeat in the Coupe de France. He says all clubs fight to have him.

“The difference tonight is Mbappé. He is one of the best players in the world, if not the best at the moment,” Kovac said.

“All the clubs are fighting to have him. We had him, we no longer have him,” he added.

However, Mbappe response that he is not a single player but a polish of the entire team. He claims he only adds on his teammate’s good work.

Mbappe responded, “It is always a pleasure when people speak nicely of you. It is the work of the whole team. It is them all who put me in the rights places – I just added to the work of my teammates. They did their work really well.”
