Paul Pogba has failed in many ways since returning to Old Trafford from Juve six years ago.

A little about the topic

Ex-Red Devils coach Rene Meulensteen has questioned the French midfielder’s suitability for the Premier League, predicting he won’t extend his stay at the club after the summer. Paul returned to Man Utd from Juve in a club-record £89m deal in 2016, earning the Allianz Stadium win as one of Europe’s best midfielders. Since then, the midfielder has recorded 39 goals and 51 assists in 231 appearances for Manchester United, but has managed only the League Cup and Europa League with honors, with injury problems preventing him from reaching his full potential.

What did Rene say about Paul Pogba?

A hamstring problem has forced the Frenchman to miss this season’s holiday season and has only scored once in 25 matches to date, with his last under-rotation show coming off the bench in a 1-0 loss to Everton. Rene worked with the player during his first Manchester appearance and suggested that his talents were not the best match for PL. Rene Meulensteen, who served as Ferguson’s No. 2 between 2007 and 2013, thinks it’s time for Paul to move on, as he said failure is a big word, but did Paul live up to expectations? Rene doesn’t think so.

According to Meulensteen, Paul Pogba knew what the expectations were when he returned to compete for the PL and the Champions League. “Not everything clicked with the players around him or the system, does he really fit the Premier League?” Rene said. What upset him a little is that Pogba never really talked about his commitment to Man Utd. Paul will never go out there and say he’ll stay and put Man Utd back where they belong.

There have always been problems with his future and that’s bad for the fans. However, it’s not just one player, there are still many issues that need to be resolved before Manchester United gets back on track. According to Rene, since Pogba returned, this has not happened for him or for Man Utd. The Dutch coach thinks Paul Pogba is about to leave.
