Mumbai Indians faced Lucknow Supergiants in IPL 15 (IPL 2022). Lucknow Supergiants have registered their fourth victory in this match as they defeated Mumbai Indians by 18 runs. This is Mumbai’s sixth defeat in this season. They are facing worse of times in IPL and as a team, they have failed to make a positive impact.
Chasing the score of 200 runs, Mumbai had a terrible start of the innings. Team’s opener and captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed by Avesh Khan after scoring just 6 runs.
After his dismissal, Ishan Kishan and Brevis took over the team. Brevis scored 31 runs in just 13 balls. After his dismissal, Kishan also got out after scoring 13 runs. After his dismissal, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma paced up the chase as both made half-century partnership.
This pair was looking dangerous at the crease. The experienced Jason Holder dismissed Tilak for 26 runs which gave a big blow to Mumbai Indians. After this Suryakumar also could not stay on the pitch for long and was dismissed after scoring 37 runs. He was dismissed by Ravi Bishnoi. In the end, Pollard and Jaydev Unadkat tried their best but match was out of reach. Mumbai could only score 181 runs in 20 overs.
