Mikel Arteta has acknowledged that despite a busy start to the summer transfer season, Arsenal would still like to add additional players.

The Gunners have already acquired midfielder Fabio Vieira from Porto for £34 million before sealing the arrival of Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus for £45 million.

The transfer of American goalkeeper Matt Turner from New England Revolution and Brazilian winger Marquinhos from Sao Paulo have also been revealed.

The north London club continue to pursue Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez and have also been linked with Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans and Napoli’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

And after watching his team win 5-3 in their first preseason game of the summer away at Nuremberg, Arteta stated that he hopes the club’s business with incomings is not complete.

The Spaniard stated, “There are more things we would like to accomplish if we can.” Obviously, the market will determine our options. We are pleased with what we have accomplished thus far.

When asked about Arsenal’s interest in Belgium midfielder Tielemans, Arteta stated, “We never discuss players who are not ours.”

We are still in the market to improve the team, and we want to do so, but we will not disclose any specific names.

New agreement Jesus also addressed the media after scoring twice in his club debut in Germany.

Following the departures of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette this year, the signing of the Brazilian international has been received with great enthusiasm.

Jesus said, “I don’t want to be the superstar” when questioned about the burden of being the primary No. 9 at the club after winning four Premier League titles with City.

“All I want to do is play football and assist my teammates. We must accomplish it collectively. I am not here to play the role of “the man.” I am here to assist, learn from, and win with my teammates.
