What did Mikel Arteta say?

The Gunners men’s head coach has signed a new contract, agreeing terms with the club until the end of the 2024-25 season. The Spanish manager took over as manager of Arsenal at the end of 2019 and helped the club return to the rivalry to finish in the top four of the PL and qualify for the Champions League. On Friday morning, the Gunners announced a dual management deal with women’s head coach Jonas Eidewall, who also agreed a new contract.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta told the club’s website that he is excited, grateful and very, very happy today. When Arteta spoke to Josh Kroenke, he could see the club at that very moment and he wanted to take the club the way Mikel wanted to. So everything Josh said and Stan Kroenke said when Arteta was with both of them, they always delivered.

According to Mikel Arteta, they want to take the club to the next level and really compete with the top teams. In order to do so, they must play in the Champions League. They need to be able to evolve the team, improve their players, improve all departments, generate even more connection with their fans, improve the atmosphere in the Emirates, be able to recruit top, top talent and the best people for this club to bring this project to this level.

Eidevall also signed a contract

Women’s boss Jonas Eidevall, who has the Gunners in contention for the Women’s Super League title last weekend, has signed a contract until the end of the 2023/24 season. Eidevall said it was great. According to Jonas, it allows him to continue working at the club he loves so much and being around people he really, really likes and being able to achieve things together, so he’s really looking forward to it.
