Milan are happy with the Turkish striker. So, a new contract is being prepared for Hakan Calhanoglu in AC Milan.

Since Milan became the head coach of Stefano Pioli, Hakan Calhanoglu has become a much more productive player for the team than he was before. In the current season of Serie A, the Turkish striker managed to score eight goals and the same amount of assists.

The publication FOOTBALL-ITALIA reports that the bosses of the “Rossoneri” and the team captain are satisfied with Hakan’s game quality. Calhanoglu’s current contract expires on June 30, 2021.

According to the source, the Black and Reds plan to offer Calhanoglu a new, long-term contract. According to it, he will compete in the Italian Grand for another four years. His salary will be 3.5 million.

AC Milan acquired Hakan from Bayer Leverkusen in 2017. Then the Italians paid 23 million in exchange for him. Currently, Transfermarkt estimates the player at 14.5 million.

Foreign publications have linked the Turks to several European clubs, although it is assumed that the 26-year-old attacking Milan will not refuse to extend his contract. Stefano Pioli will play a significant role in this, whose contract was extended a few days ago.

If Hakan Calhanoglu agrees to the new offer, he will protect the dignity of Milan until 2024, and the existing salary will increase. “Rossoneri” are in the 6th place after 36 rounds and are fighting for a trip to the Europa League.
