The Serie A giants are looking to keep the credit star in their books, while the other central half at Stamford Bridge is set to stay in west London
Negotiations on Fikayo are still ongoing
Milan is in advanced negotiations with Chelsea for a permanent deal for Fikayo Tomori, while the Rossoneri is also inquiring about Valentino Livramento. The England international defender, who made his way through the academy ranks at Stamford Bridge, spent the second half of the 2020-21 campaign on loan at San Siro. Fikayo Tomori has done enough over 22 appearances to convince the Rossoneri that he is worth keeping around, with another deal now being sought. Chelsea included a buy option for Milan in its loan agreement, which it struck back in January. Heavyweights Serie A have been made aware that keeping the 23-year-old in Italy will cost them £ 26 million. The Rossoneri would like to lower this asking price or pay in full for a series of payments. These discussions are delaying the adoption of a final decision, and negotiations are still ongoing.
Other options
While Fikayo Tomori remains Milan’s priority, after seeing what he can do, alternatives are being explored. Questions have been asked about whether Chelsea is ready to part ways with high-rated teen Valentino Livramento. The Blues are reluctant to authorize such a deal after seeing the promising 18-year-old scoop of their academic Player of the Year award in 2020-21. A versatile performer who can operate anywhere on the right flank, however, sees his way to the first team in West London blocked by Reece James. Tariq Lamptey left Chelsea for Brighton after finding opportunities that were hard to find and Valentino Livramento faced a similar future poseur. A number of clubs are watching his situation closely, with ongoing deals and loan agreements potentially in preparation as the hot prospect enters the final year of his current contract.
