South African cricket stars David Miller and Quinton de Kock are set to make a comeback for the Barbados Royals in the upcoming 2024 Caribbean Premier League season. The duo, known for their left-handed prowess, will be a valuable addition to the team, as announced by the franchise on Friday.

Miller, who previously led the Royals to the top of the points table in the 2022 season, will be joining forces with de Kock once again. However, Rovman Powell will continue to captain the side for the upcoming season.

In preparation for the new season, the Royals have made some changes to their lineup, releasing foreign players Rassie van der Dussen, Donovan Fereria, and Roelof van der Merwe. Joining the squad as foreign players are Maheesh Theekshana, Naveen ul Haq, and Keshav Maharaj.

The team has also retained players like Rahkeem Cornwall, Alick Athanaze, Kevin Wickham, Nyeem Young, Rivaldo Clarke, Ramon Simmonds, and Obed McCoy. With 14 players already confirmed, the Royals will be looking to fill three spots at the upcoming draft in July.

The Royals, who finished fifth on the points table last season, will kick off their campaign against the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons on September 1. Cricket fans can look forward to an exciting season ahead with the return of Miller and de Kock to the Barbados Royals lineup.
