The 29th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season was played between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the MCA Stadium in Pune, in which GT’s team continued their victorious campaign and won by 3 wickets achieved.
In this match, the team of Gujarat Titans got a target of 170 runs. After which the team achieved this at the loss of 3 wickets with 1 ball remaining, in which David Miller’s bat got a match-winning 94 runs.
Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ambati Rayudu played important innings
Leg spinner Rashid Khan, captaining the Gujarat Titans in this match, decided to bowl first after winning the toss. After which the team of Chennai Super Kings came down to start the innings.
From here Gaikwad and Rayudu worked to accelerate the pace of runs while handling the innings. In which Rayudu returned to the pavilion after scoring 46 runs, while Gaikwad played a brilliant innings of 73 runs.
After which CSK’s team managed to score 169 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Alzarri Joseph took 2 wickets in the bowling for GT.
Killer Miller’s bat snatched victory from Chennai Super Kings
Chasing 170 runs, the Gujarat Titans team had a very poor start, in which the team lost 3 wickets till the score of 16, which included Shubman Gill, Vijay Shankar and Abhinav Manohar.
David Miller, who came out to bat from here, took the score a little further with Wriddhiman Saha first but Saha Bhil went on to walk the pavilion after scoring 11 runs.
After which Miller, along with Tewatia, kept the score under constant pressure, keeping the pace on the CSK bowlers.
In which captain Rashid Khan, who came on the field with the fall of Tewatia’s wicket, supported Miller well and worked to take the team towards victory.
But Rashid returned to the pavilion after scoring 40 runs in 21 balls. On the other hand, Miller returned unbeaten till the end, giving the team a 3-wicket win. David Miller played an unbeaten innings of 94 runs in 51 balls with the help of 8 fours and 6 sixes.
