Haaland’s goalscoring feats for BVB have piqued the interest of some of the biggest clubs in European football.

Raiola and BVB aren’t fighting between each other
Mino Raiola has insisted that he is not fighting with Borussia Dortmund over Erling Haaland but disagrees with their position that the Norwegian will not be sold this summer. Haaland’s goalscoring feats for BVB have piqued the interest of some of the biggest clubs in European football. Raiola, the player’s agent, was spotted in Spain, fueling speculation that he was trying to broker a deal with Barcelona and Real Madrid. Dortmund have clarified their position that they do not want to sell the forward this summer, and the Norwegian’s reported release clause does not come into play until the following year. Raiola has negotiated with BVB and says the relations are not strained but does not feel that closing the door on a transfer is the right course to take.
Michael Zorc made it clear that BVB do not want to sell the Norwegian forward
“I can confirm that I was in Dortmund for the talks,” Raiola told reporters. “The sporting director of Dortmund Michael Zorc made it clear to us that Dortmund do not want to sell Haaland this summer. I respect their opinion. But that does not automatically mean that I also agree. Dortmund were evident in their views. We are okay with that. There is no fight between us and BVB – absolutely not! Relations with Zorc, Hans-Joachim Watzke and Sebastian Kehl are still good”. A player like Haaland in the game needs to be gracing the grandest stages, but BVB are looking at the prospect of not qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League. BVB are on the back foot against Man City in the quarterfinals of this season’s competition and are seven points behind the Bundesliga qualifying positions.
For Dortmund, Haaland is tied to an extended deal, and his reported release clause for €75 million will not kick in until the next term – so the club is confident in their position. But Raiola will likely ramp up the pressure if they miss out on a seat at Europe’s top table for next season.
