What did Mino Raiola’s friend say?

A friend of the football agent, Jose Fortes Rodriguez, has denied reports of his death as fake news continues to circulate online. Over the past 20 years, seasoned agent Mino Raiola has represented countless big names in Europe’s top leagues and helped close a number of high-profile deals. It has been widely reported that the Italian football agent has passed away at the age of 54, however Jose insists he is still alive in the hospital.

Jose Fortes Rodriguez said that Mino Raiola is not dead. These messages are nonsense. Alberto Zangrillo, a doctor at Milan’s San Raffaele hospital, added that he was outraged by phone calls from pseudo-journalists speculating on the life of a man who is fighting for survival. Earlier in January, Mino was admitted to the hospital and underwent surgery for an unspecified reason. A statement from his official Twitter account at the time stated that Raiola was undergoing routine medical checks that required anesthesia. Everything was planned, and no emergency operation happened.

Mino Raiola’s stellar client list

Mino’s stellar client list includes the likes of Ibrahimovic, Haaland and Pogba, and in 2020 he was reported to have a net worth of £62m. Experienced Italian agent Mino Raiola has a reputation for securing big deals for his clients and is reportedly helping to negotiate terms for Erling Haaland ahead of his proposed transfer from Borussia Dortmund this summer. Matthijs de Ligt’s €73m move to Juve from Ajax in 2019 was overseen by Mino, who also handled a free transfer for Gianluigi Donnarumma’s to PSG after he left Milan last year. Mino also represents Italy’s duo Verratti and Balotelli, as well as Inter’s latest prospect Dumfries and Gravenberch.
