Mithali Raj Retirement: One of the greatest women’s cricket player Mithali Raj on Wednesday announced her retirement from all forms of international cricket after a stellar two-decade-long career. Mithali scored a record 7805 runs in 232 ODIs in her international career. He also represented India in 12 Tests and 89 T20 Internationals.
The 39-year-old batsman has already retired from the T20 format and was expected to retire after India’s campaign in the One Day International World Cup ended in March.
Playing cricket since the age of 10
Mithali was born in a Tamil family in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Mithali started playing cricket at the age of 10 and after 7 years she was part of the Indian team. In his very first One Day International match, he scored a century against Ireland. It was the year 1999 when Mithali played an unbeaten innings of 14 runs against Ireland.
