Morkel, who retired from international cricket in 2018, was part South Africa pace ace attack alongside Dale Steyn. Knowing for hitting hard lengths and troubling batters with vertiginous bounce, he has building a successful bowling career after his retirement.
In the past years, Pakistan is generating a good lineage of raw fast bowling talent, and it will require coaching to make these bowlers skillful and we’ll prepared for internal cricket.

Morne Morkel will not be only South African to be involved in Pakistan cricket. Andrew Puttick, ex Proteas and western province batter, is already leading the batting department of the team.
Most known South African figure in the team will Micky Arthur who has previously captained the side, and will join again as team director, a position that he will fill remotely due to his commitments to county team Derbyshire.
Morkel has been recently involved in coaching, with his most recent International job as bowling coach was with New Zealand’s women’s team during Women’s T20 World Cup 2023.

Morkel is now involved with Lucknow Super Giants after previously coaching Durban Super Giants in SA20 League which was won by Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
Pakistan has plenty of cricket to play it hands before embarking on world cup journey. From 14th April, they will play a three matche ODI series against New Zealand followed by a three match T20I series.
