The PSG president has suggested that his side could try to sign English striker Marcus Rashford in the summer transfer window.
What did Al-Khelaifi say about Rashford?
The Englishman’s contract with Man Utd expires at the end of the season and Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi says there will be a big rush to sign a player from some of the top teams, suggesting his club could be in the race.
The president of Paris Saint-Germain said: “Is he another player who is amazing and free?” To keep Marcus Rashford free, Nasser Al-Khelaifi says every club will run after him. Definitely they don’t hide it. “We’ve talked before… the moment wasn’t a good moment for either side. ‘Maybe in the summer, why not?’ not going to talk to him now Al-Khelaifi says let the English striker focus on the World Cup and then in January if they are interested they will talk to him.
A little about Rashford
The England striker was the bright spark for England at the World Cup, scoring three goals despite starting just one of the four matches the player has featured in. Marcus Rashford has also been important to the Red Devils, scoring four goals and assisting two in his 14 PL appearances.

Marcus Rashford’s activities for the Red Devils and the England national team
The England international made his Man Utd debut in the 2015/16 season against Danish club Midtjylland in the Europa League Round 32 match, and the striker scored twice in a 5-1 win. The player’s knock to step up for big moments could be seen from his early days as Marcus Rashford went to score against Man City’s cross city rivals to help Man Utd win the game, becoming the youngest goalscorer in the derby by overtaking Rooney.
The 2019/20 season was the most prolific of the striker’s career as Marcus scored 22 goals in 44 games after signing a new four-year deal at the start of the campaign. The player’s commitment to the club was such that he played through pain for nearly two years before undergoing surgery in 2021. In 2022-23, Marcus Rashford already matched his tally from last season in just 13 games, scoring against the Reds and Gunners in the process.
Marcus’ rise to the summit for his country has also been swift. Marcus Rashford was in the England squad for Euro 2016 after making his professional debut just four months earlier. Since then, the striker has represented England at the 2018 World Cup and Euro 2020, hitting the double figures of the three lions.
