Today we saw two matches in Group C. Northern Ireland is doing everything to secure a spot in Euro 2020, but yet they have to prove more.
Estonia 0-3 Germany
After a home draw against Argentina during the friendly match, Germany had an official game in Estonia. Don’t forget that there are two winning spots in Group C, but Northern Ireland is the third team that wants Euro 2020 place.
The last official match in Group C for Germany was in Northern Ireland. Low’s players could win a tough away game in Ireland and scored two goals. After Ireland, Germany had a game in Estonia, and German players needed three points.
1st half of the match
On the 14th minute, the German team gave us a reason to doubt three points. Emre Can did a horrible thing, and the referee decided to give a red card. Germany played a match with ten players from the 14th minute. 1st half was not exciting, and teams could not perform at a high level. Low had to change a few things in the second half.
2nd half of the match
Man of the game, Gundogan, decided the outcome of the game. Manchester City midfielder scored two goals and one assist. Gundogan scored two goals on 51st and 57th minutes. After scoring two goals, Germany gave up ball and possession. Low’s team gave a chance to Estonia, but opponents could not score. On 71st minute, Gundogan gave an assist to Werner and forward scored a beautiful goal.
Belarus 1-2 Netherlands
Dutch players had an emotional match and came back three days ago. Match against Northern Ireland changed everything for the Netherlands national team. Memphis Depay was the man of the game as he scored two goals. On Sunday, the Netherlands players had another tough match in Belarus.
1st half of the game
Memphis got a deserved rest, and Koeman started the game with the different attacking line. Promes, Malen, and Bergwijn got a chance from the start.
Dutch players were sharp in attack from the start, and they scored two goals during the first 45 minutes. Liverpool’s midfielder Wijnaldum scored two goals in 14 minutes period and secured the easy win.
2nd half of the match
After two goals, Dutch players became unmotivated and gave the ball to Belarus. Opponents could score one goal in the 54th minute. Dragun got across and was first on the ball. Dragun’s header was a beauty indeed, and Koeman’s worried face was clearly visible. Fortunately to Koeman, Dutch players got motivation and possession again and finished the match successfully.
