New Business Investment By Virat Kohli: Know The Details
Indian Cricketer Virat Kohli has invested in Delhi-based FMGC company Rage Coffee. This company produces and sells packaged coffee products. Along with this, according to the deal with this range of coffee, Virat will also be the brand ambassador of the company.
This is not the first investment made by Virat Kohli. He has been engaged in sustainable product investment for a long time. Earlier, in February this year, Virat along with wife Anushka Sharma had invested in a company named Blue Tribe Food, which prepares meat from home grown plants.
In February 2020, Virat and Anushka invested Rs 2.2 crore in Canadian billionaire Prem Vatsa’s insurance startup Digit Insurance in February 2020, while both of them also already have stakes in the wellness startup Hyperis.
On the other hand, Rage Coffee hopes that the association with Virat will give a boost to the brand in the market and customers will prefer to buy the product of Rage Coffee.
Before launching their product in the Indian market, Rage Coffee raised $5 million in funding through a Series A funding round with Sixth Sense Ventures in August 2021.
Let us tell you that the range of coffee was launched in 2018. The company claims that they currently have 35 distributors, four CFAs and 5 super stockists covering over 2500 offline points across the country.
While doing a press conference, Bharat Sethi said, “Virat Kohli has set some unmatched records in the top arena of world cricket and is regarded as the best batsman in the world.” Bharat Sethi is founder and CEO of Rage Coffee.
Cricketers have always been interested in making big investments in business as it always brings a positive impact on the product because of their celebrity image and fan following. Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj Singh, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli are well known cricketers who have a knacking interest for business.
