The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is to begin from March 26, in which New Zealand players will be available for the entire season.

New Zealand head coach Gary Stead has given information about this. Actually, not all Kiwi players participating in IPL 2022 will play in the limited-overs series against the Netherlands, which is scheduled to be played in March-April.

Stead said that players participating in IPL 2022 will not play in the host team in the home series against the Netherlands. He said in a statement, “The players participating in the IPL will not be available for the series. They won’t be available for that (Netherlands) series. I think it’s always exciting as a coach when you know that a number of players build the depth of the squad and that leads to the big picture of leading it to the World Cup in the future,” Stead said in a press conference.”

New Zealand’s Kane Williamson, Trent Boult, Mitchell Santner, Devon Conway, Daryl Mitchell, Lockie Ferguson, Tim Southee, Adam Milne, Tim Seifert, James Neesham, Finn Allen and Glenn Phillips have contracts for IPL 2022.

New Zealand is to host one T20 and three ODIs against the Netherlands from 25 March to 04 April. This limited overs series will be played in Napier, Mount Maunganui and Hamilton.

At the same time, Coach Stead has already clarified that New Zealand players will be available for the England tour after the end of the IPL. Let us tell you that New Zealand has to play a three-match Test series in England from June 02.

The schedule of IPL 2022 has been announced, according to which the season will start with the first match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

 

The last match of the league stage is to be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) on 22 May. The play-off schedule has not been announced yet, but the final is scheduled to be played on May 29.

A total of 20 matches are to be played at Wankhede and DY Patil Stadiums. 15-15 matches are to be played at Brabourne and MCA International Stadium Pune. The league will be organised for a total of 65 days in which a total of 74 matches will be played.
