The now-conformed itinerary will see the men’s team play three Tests, six ODIs and eight T20Is during the home season. As previously revealed, the summer will begin on November 28 in Christchurch with the first of the three Tests against England. That series, which will also see games in Wellington and Hamilton, will mark the end of a nine-game run in the longest format for the Black Caps, who will enter that assignment following away Tests against Afghanistan (1), Sri Lanka (2) and India (3). After the England series, New Zealand will welcome Sri Lanka for a series involving three T20Is and as many 50-over games before travelling to Pakistan for an ODI tri-series, also featuring South Africa, in the build-up to the Champions Trophy that is pencilled in to start on February 19. New Zealand will return from that marquee ICC event and host Pakistan in a late-summer series featuring five T20Is and three ODIs, running until April 3. This assignment is likely to overlap with still-to-be-announced schedule of IPL 2025.
