Kieran Trippier originally began his career at Man City in 2009, where he spent three years before moving to Burnley. In 2015, Tottenham pulled away from the Clarets, and then helped the club to reach the top four players and finalists in the Champions League, gaining the attention of Atlético.

Kieran joined Wanda Metropolitano in the summer of 2019 and made a total of 83 appearances for the Spanish giants, while playing a key role in their run to the League title last season. Newcastle supporters will hope the 31-year-old’s experience can help Eddie’s side get rid of the relegation zone in the second half of the 2021-22 campaign, as they currently sit 19th, two points away from safety.
