After learning that Paris Saint-Germain are “glad” for him to depart the Parc des Princes this summer, Neymar allegedly contacted Chelsea about a possible trade.

The 30-year-old Neymar signed a new contract with the French powerhouses a year ago and is committed to the organization through 2027.

However, rumors have been rampant in recent weeks that the former Barcelona player would be moving sooner rather than later.

According to reports, PSG is willing to let Neymar go this summer after guaranteeing the long-term future of Kylian Mbappe.

As a result, Chelsea have been contacted about a possible transfer for the forward.

Todd Boehly, the new owner of the Blues, is rumored to be eager to make a splashy acquisition this summer, and signing a star in the mold of Neymar would suit the bill.

However,it is unclear if Thomas Tuchel has any interest in bringing Neymar to the Premier League despite having spoken to the Blues about a potential move to Stamford Bridge.

Pini Zahavi, Neymar’s agent, is “working hard” to try to find other possible destinations for his star client. But due to Neymar’s extravagant €43m (£37.3m) gross salary, it is likely that only a small number of teams in Europe could afford to sign a contract with him.

Since joining PSG, Neymar has scored 100 goals in 144 games, but injuries have dogged him throughout his stay in Paris. Neymar was thought to be the perfect addition to lead the team to the Champions League success they so much want, but they have continued to struggle in Europe.

Neymar has restated his intention to win Europe’s top trophy while playing for PSG, despite the fact that the team has dominated domestically since his arrival.
